Shining down to light the world,
Her only reason to be known.
The moon shines completely bright,
Though misunderstood and forever alone.

In the rich darkness,
Her brilliant rays pierce through.
Like longs spears of silver
Slashed through dark blue

Power, grace and love,
She will always shine.
But mistaken as a beacon,
To flaunt her beautiful design.

Floating up so high above
In a place all her own,
She finds no peace, hope or love...
For she's misunderstood and forever alone

The clouds come and go
She finds no friendship with men.
The stars all laugh at her light
Will she ever find love again...

They take her love for granted,
Or maybe it's just her...
Perhaps nobody truly feels 
And she's only delusional.

The sun comes, stays then goes
Leaving her heart with a burning thirst
Maybe she has found a love
Or is she forever cursed?
